Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Digital Footprint products and services accessible to everyone.
Our Commitment
Digital Footprint is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.
Measures We Take
We include accessibility considerations in our design and development process.
We test our products with keyboard-only navigation and screen reader tools.
We aim for sufficient colour contrast throughout our interfaces.
We provide text alternatives for non-text content where practical.
We structure our pages with semantic HTML and proper heading hierarchies.
We ensure interactive elements are keyboard-accessible and have visible focus indicators.
Conformance Status
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. Our products are regularly reviewed and tested for accessibility compliance. Some areas may currently be undergoing improvement.
This statement applies to the Digital Footprint public website and our product interfaces. Individual products may have separate accessibility documentation.
Compatibility with Assistive Technology
Our websites are designed to work with the assistive technologies commonly used by people with disabilities, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver, screen magnification software, speech recognition tools, and alternative input devices. We test against current, widely-used versions of these tools as part of our release process.
We also design for compatibility with modern browsers, including current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, and we support both mouse and keyboard navigation throughout our interfaces.
How We Assess Accessibility
Accessibility is considered at every stage of our process, from initial design through to deployment and ongoing support. Our assessment combines automated checks, manual keyboard-only testing, and review with screen reader software. Where we engage user acceptance testers, accessibility scenarios form part of the evaluation.
Automated scanning to catch low-contrast text, missing labels and structural issues.
Manual keyboard-only navigation to confirm every interactive element is reachable and operable.
Screen reader review to verify that content is announced in a logical, understandable order.
Testing across different devices, screen sizes and zoom levels.
Known Limitations
While we work hard to make everything we build accessible, we recognise that no product is perfect and accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-off task. If you find a particular page or feature that is difficult to use, we want to know about it so we can prioritise a fix. Please use the contact details below to share your experience, and we will respond promptly and aim to address the issue where reasonably possible.
Feedback and Enforcement Procedure
We are committed to responding to accessibility feedback within a reasonable timeframe. When you contact us, we will acknowledge your report, investigate the issue, and keep you informed of the outcome. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) or the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), which are responsible for enforcing accessibility legislation in the United Kingdom.
We review and update this accessibility statement regularly to reflect changes to our products, our practices, and applicable standards.
